The Kokodiagbene Education Committee led by Donatus Akpo Ukuli (Esq.) on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of EGCDF, Chief Joseph O. Wuruyai, at the office Complex to congratulate him on assumption of office and his sterling leadership quality.

While applauding the Chairman for continuing with the programs and activities of the Foundation, Donatus Akpo Ukuli (Esq.) on behalf of the Kokodiagbene Education Committee also used the opportunity to plead with the Foundation Leadership to increase the number of Scholarship slots allocation to the community and also make an upward review of the amount paid to the beneficiaries. According to Donatus, the plea for increment is as a result of the growing number of students from the community entering into higher institutions of learning and the high cost of study in the country. He stated that the increasing number shows the zealousness of students from the community in pursuit of education.

The EGCDF Executive Chairman, Chief Joseph O. Wuruyai, appreciated the Kokodiagbene Education Committee for the visit and their efforts towards improving education. He stated that the Foundation is aware of the rising number of students in EGCDF constituent communities, and that the call for increase in scholarship slots allocation and upward review of the amount paid to the beneficiaries had been received severally from both Kingdoms. He therefore advised that the available slots to the various communities be managed and scholarship awarded to students based on merit.
